All what rain?? You do know that London actually has fairly low annual rainfall totals don't you? Average temps of 23.5C are nice enough & of course it has many days much higher than that...

But if you seek summer temperatures of 40C then perhaps you should go somewhere else...

23.2C is the average for july, june is only 20.7... you may find that good but to me thats not a nice summer, its more like spring, in fact entire England doesnt get nice hot summers, its like 6 months of autumn and few months of "kinda spring". You dont have to agree with me.

Temperature in july in london often doesnt even exceed 20C, then it gets "hot" for few days in high 20's very rarely reaches 30 and you get the average of 22-23

In comparison Toronto summer temps are pretty much in high 20's and low 30's everyday and reaching high 30's for few days per summer. July 2012 and July 2011 both averaged 31.2C in Toronto.

2009 was below average and rainy but was still hotter than London as it averaged 24.8.

so yeah To me Toronto summers are much nicer

But that just depends on what your expectations of summer are & how hot you like it, which is completely subjective...

Not sure what station you are using but Greenwich has an average high of 21.0C in June 23.4C in July & 23.1C in August. Kew Gardens is a little higher with an average in July of 23.5C. 1 in 5 summers average over 25C anyway...

I'm not debating that Toronto has warmer summers, just that London does have fairly decent summer temperatures compared to the rest of the UK.

You never responded about the rainfall though, which is something all foreigners get wrong about London...

I agree.

London might have 24c highs but it is susceptible to chilly enough rainy weather in the summer. Its not like its 26c and sunny everyday like it would be in Toronto.

Face it London summers are crappy compared to Toronto.

Sometimes London can be very wet and chilly in the summer.
