Paris is still much warmer. That 2c is an average so it can actualy get much colder in london.

That's because Paris is located more inland than London, I remember February last year when a polar outbreak swepth across Europe. Paris went as low as -10º for several days, whereas London remained at -6º...

I think we had -3c uppers last july.
I doubt it would have been as low as 7C as a max in London, 11C sounds about right. The record LOW for July on Hayling Island (next to Portsmouth) is 7.8C...

Haha. Thats because the cold air did not reach the united kingdom. It only reached the far south east corner temporarily. The air dived south of the british isles and headed towards iberia. And incase you hadnt noticed while the cold was in the south east region several places around the wash recorded -16c.

We had a mild winter last year while the rest of europe had a record cold winter.

I would think about 10-11C/52F for here. It would come with snow to quite low levels and a cold southeasterly winds.

I remember a cold change down south (Earnscleugh) where the temp dropped to 4C/40F at about lunch time. That was late December, when the average max is 23C/74F

It's rare to have a summer month averaging cooler in Paris than in London. From what I've seen, since 1950, Orly has been cooler than Heathrow only in July 1965 and August 1984.

Last winter was above average here too. Nowhere in Europe had a record cold winter.
