In response to a few of the other B-day weather threads going, I thought I'd start this one.

I was born on 5/22/81 in Chicago at 2130 GMT (Zulu).

Here is the hourly weather obs from 7 miles away at Midway Airport (MDW)

METAR KMDW 222100Z 18012KT 10SM BKN200 23/08 A2995

1) KMDW = station--Midway airport
2) Taken on the 22nd of the month (May) at 2100 Zulu.
3) Wind from 180 deg (south) at 12 knots (14 mph)
4) 10 statue miles visibility
5) Broken cloud ceiling at 20,000 feet
6) Temperature of 23 deg C and a dewpoint of 8 deg C
7) 29.95 inches of mercury

I used www.wunderground.com to see the history. You can go back as far as 1945 to look it up. Just type in the code for the nearest major airport and select your DOB.

So what was the weather like where you were born on that day??

24th December 1995

No idea how to go into that detail so here is the weather for that day.

Actually I can't find any data for 1995?

Ogimet goes to 1996 and so does wunderground.

19 December 1986

Perth
Min: 21.3C
Max: 37.4C

I was born at 9:45pm but there is no breakdown of temperatures by the hour that I know of. The following day was 20C-37C so I'm guessing the temperature would have been between 25C and 30C at that time.

I don't know about where you live but Yorkshire (and much of northern Britain) had snow on that day. I remember building a snowman in my back garden on Christmas Eve 1995 which was still intact in 1996 - that doesn't sound so impressive considering some of the recent winters but by 1990s standards it was pretty unusual for it to stay cold for that long. That period was when Altnaharra had its record low of -27.2C and Glasgow had its record low high of something like -11C.

Well?

Where do you access the data then?

I find it annoying on this forum how they ask you these questions and don't give you any instructions on how to access the data. :/

I'm not doing your homework for you! I thought I was doing you a favour by giving my own personal weather memories of that date less than 200 miles or so from where you live but if you're going to be like this then I'll carry on ignoring you as before.
