Yakutsk at 62n averages 25c in its warmest month, Fairbanks at 64N has a july average high of 22c and a record high of 37c which shows Ireland's 18c is fairly poor.

But i'm talking about Cold.

- It cannot snow at 18c
- Frost cannot form at 18c.
- Ice cannot form at 18c

When those things occur it is cold. So when some nutter tells me its cold at 18c I laugh and think are they foreal?

It isn't cold.

And never will be.

It may feel 'cool' but the physical temperature is not cold.

Personally no I would describe 18c as cool/warm depending on weather conditions but as I said it depends on the person.

I've got a question Do you think 28c is hot, warm, cool or cold?

It is warm.

Single figures are cool.

18C is cold for a summer max, it's certainly not the kind of temperature to sit in the garden with a cold beer!
When I came back from Afghanistan a couple of years ago it felt COLD, certainly after getting used to the heat there and it was summer here!! So if the person is used to warm of hot summers, 18C may well feel cold!
