Hayden is a town of 10,000 people located 8,000 feet above sea level on in a valley right right at the equator and is totally landlocked on all 4 sides by hundreds of miles. Because it is located at the equator, there is no swing in seasonal temperatures at all. It's also surrounded by even taller mountains over 10,000 feet in all four sides. It is also semi-arid due to the "rain shadow" effect so it only gets about 15 inches of rain a year which is evenly distributed throughout the year.
Hayden has 2 grocery stories, one movie theater, a general department store, one fashion botique a few restaurants, but no real nightlife so one must drive over the taller mountains for 3 hours to reach the nearest big city.

It's biggest climatic feature is its diurnal range......

Average High is 90 F (32 C) Average Low is 27 F (-3 c) every month of the year.
Air is usually very dry so humidity is not a factor at all.

All time time record high is 108 F (42 C) and all time record low is 7 F (-14 C).
Vast majority of precipitation falls as rain but they do get a light dusting of snow on the average once a year (of course it falls at night and melts quickly as the sun comes up). Some years get those dustings two or three times while other times up to 5 years can pass without snow.

How would you rate living in Hayden?

Weird climate I think the lows really turn me off it but I love the highs. I'll give it a C.

F. I like your ideas though lol. I would hate having to bundle up in the morning and then wearing a t shirt and short sleeves in the afternoon.

No sir, I don't like it. Lack of warm nights, lack of cold days, lack of significant snowfall, and even though it is semi-arid, the even distribution of precipitation turns me off. That's still over an inch per month. I like really dry summers, well under an inch per month. I like the wetter months (but still not TOO wet) to be in the winter, with a majority of the precipitation falling as snowfall.
