I can't get depressed in winter. I live in a climate where winter months are sunny 70% of the time

Lol, most of the US is sunny enough in winter that only the most severe sufferers of SAD get hit with the winter blues. Most of the time it's the cold, and not the sun, that bothers Americans in the northern states. I live in the Northeast and my area gets around 2300 hours of sunshine a year. Not bad I'd say.

Miami is certainly sunnier than northern Puerto Rico, that's for sure. ~2800 hours as opposed to ~2600

That is the impression I get from Brits here. I don't mind drizzle, particularly if it's sunny. Not that there is much drizzle here, light rain would be more common than drizzle.

What would be the main cause of drizzle there? Anti- cyclonic gloom, or warm fronts that don't hold a lot of moisture?

YES- It was a rough and boring winter. I thought about that today and told myself you had better get off your ass and get living again...activity will improve your mood and give you hope...It's beautiful out there....I had better have my shower and take on the new year...spring is the beginning of the new year----------Now get up and get too it...as my daughter said to me..."Dad you had better cancel your pity party"

Both in equal measure I would say. High pressure is very rarely sunny in the UK. Only 20% of the time.

I would say a lot of the time it's warm fronts coming from the Atlantic that cause the drizzle. Because much of the time that it drizzled, the temps were around 10°C. Icelandic Low also plays a part as well, compared to where I live the North American High causes me to have relatively sunny but freezing winters

No. US sunshine averages are overestimated by about 300 hours a year. Wikipedia lists Miami has having 3100 hours, it's actually closer to 2800
