It's interesting to compare this two regions in sense of climate. United States, for example, is much sunnier overall, has much more hot-summer climates etc.
So, which region has overall better climate for you?
I voted United States, because overall it has warmer summers and a bit more seasonal variation. The warm summer humid continental area of the US (my favorite clime) is also rainier than its European counterpart, which is good. That being said, say, Bucharest owns San Francisco climate-wise.
Tough one! The US has more variety and even though its sunshine hours aren't entirely accurate ( or just measured differently ) it's still sunnier overall. I vote for the USA on this one.
I'm not sure which is my favourite part of the US climate wise though. I like Boston summers and Houston winters, so a hybrid of the two would be perfect!
Europe has plenty of variety unless your tastes are very specific - from Canary Islands to Svalbard or Greenland most people can find something suitable.
Even though all of lower 48 is too hot for me, USA is more prone to extremes and is probably more interesting climate wise.
