Pretty good for the UK, but its sunshine hours (1923 - UK met 1981-2010 means) are significantly lower than anywhere I fancy in this country, and its mean annual temperature no warmer than that of Waimate in South Canterbury, or even Queenstown; 1.6C lower than Motueka.
But I would take it over just about anywhere else in the UK given the sun ranking. Still cloudy in winter by NZ standards.
It's winters are nice and mild but it never really warms up plus it's winter are very dark and dreary so because i'm in a generous mood i'll give it a C. Normally I'd give it a D though
Well it does get some summer weather. I went to a holiday camp on the Isle of Wight in summer 1996 and it was baking.
