The temps in Tarnów are surprisingly high, but the sunshine is just awful. I also remembered that Brest would be a bit cooler during summer than it actually is. Still, no contest. Tarnów it is.

Tarnów for me.

I'm always suprised by the weak record highs of southern Poland, because they're more prone to heat waves then north. Even my city has higher record temperature then Tarnów (37.8C).

probably due to higher elevation of the south

I think that too, but still... It's 200 meters (only ?) In summer Tarnów is about 2C warmer then Szczecin: the heat waves last longer, but the're weaker probably.

Tough question, but Tarnow is a nice option.
Brest and its oceanic climate is pleasant too, so I became confused in choosing one of them. Both are great.
