Pretoria is my vote, it may get cold in winter but more sun and less humidity is good.

I'd far rather LIVE in Sydney, but I love Pretoria's climate... A+ for me.

Pretoria. Have always thought most South African climates look almost perfect.

Ditto. Possibly the best country in the world climate-wise? Morocco at the other end of the continent is also very good (and probably a far better place to live), although less varied.

Tough choice as both have excellent climates. I think I'll go for Sydney because it has a much better precipitation pattern. Pretoria has super-dry and monotonous winters which would probably get under my skin.

BTW Sydney has a number of micro-climates depending how far inland you are. The one on Wikipedia happens to be one of the more milder/cooler ones.

PS - and I too love South Africa's climates. Very underrated.

Sydney for me. Pretoria is too dry in the winter.

Yes, the one shown on Wikipedia is one of the mildest stations in the Sydney area. On the other extreme you have Richmond in the far west:Climate statistics for Australian locations
Warmer summer days, colder winter nights and significantly less rainfall.

Yeah the only downside with pretoria is the precipitation distribution.
