Here's a more stereotypically 'Mediterranean' climate (cfa) than Florence, Venice or Rome. I don't think there can be any dispute as to its Mediterranean status. June-September are bone dry. Athens (in particular the suburban station) also holds the European record high temperature of 48C / 118.4 F.

Too much heat in the summer, especially the nights.
Not enough rain.
The rest isn't so bad.

It's actually a solid climate. it's hot and sunny during the summer which is a big plus. and the winters are nice and mild. the biggest draw back for me is how dry it is overall though I give it a B.

One of my favorite climates. Mediterranean but near a warm sea (instead of a cold ocean) is a great combination. Although I've never spent a winter in a Med. climate. Might be a bit wet for me actually.

Even in winter it's not particularly wet, less than 3 inches in December and January.
