That kevo-reading is just plain awesome. Do you know what the all-time high there is?
It's 32.9C in July 1988, the second northernmost official station that have reported a 90F high. Yesterday's high broke the June high ever in Lapland, and also the May high on May 31.
I don't know what the all time high is in Kevo in June, but yesterday was the warmest since 1980, the previous record was 30.0C in June 1992.
Max temperatures yesterday in the south, new record for this year those 33.6ºC, it could be beaten again today, as there were many stations already reporting 27 to 28ºC at 11am:
BTW, the Utsjoki Kevo station recorded both the high and low temps in May. -9.7C on 2 May.
