17°C with a slight breeze. Full cloud cover that's still variable and interesting. Pretty much my ideal summer day.

High was 31.7C/89F at O'Hare and 31.1C/88F at Midway in Chicago on Saturday. Similar temps today and tomorrow. MUCH cooler be the end of the week, maybe five days worth of cool temps. Probably ruin our chance of an above average July. Making that 5 out of 7 months below average and two months this summer being subpar

At 6AM it's 21C/69F at O'Hare and 23C/73F at Midway

How is your July below average even with the heat wave? Was the rest of your July not hot? How below average was it back then?

Odd, since we have a good change of breaking a record for July.

Our summer has been lame here. June was cool, about a degree below normal with only one 90 degree day. Only since this past week, have temps actually gone slightly above average for the month (by about a degree). As of yesterday, the average max at O'Hare is 29.5C/85.1F, and at Midway it's 29.9C/85.8F. One of the fewest number of 90 degree days on record (I think top 10 as of now).

After the upcoming week, I bet we end this month again below average. That would be 5 out of 7 months this year....
