Which has better weather?

Fairbanks, Alaska - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and a little street view link https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=ala...05.08,,0,-0.73 (sept 2011)

Murmansk - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=mur...2,7.22,,0,5.21 (July 2012)

street view links are just for fun, because its obviously a climate battle.

I refuse to vote for polar or sub-polar climates.

Fairbanks. Murmansk has abysmal sunshine, so there is no compensation whatever for its coldness. Fairbanks is only slightly cooler, drier, and is sunny by comparison with M.

Fairbanks for sure. Definitely not one of my favorite climates, but I wouldn't hate living there.

btw, Fairbanks is at Greenland/Nunavut latitude, so they get some really nice summers for being all the way up north

Fairbanks, I think I'd hang myself in Murmansk.

Tough choice. I like Murmansk's winters but I'll go with Fairbanks for the warmer summers.

Looking at the much lower record lows fairbanks has for several months It's safe to assume they have worse cold waves than murmansk.

So i'll choose Murmansk

I have to say that I'm impressed with Fairbanks 2 hottest months(june, july) being only 3ÂșC colder than my hometown 2 hottest months(july, august) for both max and min temperatures.
