Which do you choose?

Île Amsterdam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Edinburgh - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I choose Amsterdam Island for the much milder winters

I like both locations' summers, but I chose Edinburgh for more seasonal variability, colder winters, and cooler summer nights.

ile amsterdam

nice finding

I'm wondering if it ever gets cold temperatures(0ºC or less) from coldwaves coming from antarctida?
I'm guessing it doesn't, the climate looks very regular/constant

I choose Amsterdam Island because of the warmer temperatures, more sunshine and more precipitation.

Amsterdam Island. Warmer, sunnier, wetter.

Edinburgh is sunnier than I thought. Not that far behind Greenwich in London.

Same here. I thought the sunshine differences in the UK were more dramatic than that. I guess that is not the case. When you think that the diff between the south coast of England at around 1900 hours, and Edinburgh at 1427, it is really not that much(around 33%).

Amsterdam Island is Melbourne if it were an island. An ass of a climate but Edinburgh is worse.

Edinburgh; winters are perfect with moderate cold (not brutal cold) and some snow. Wish summers were 10 degrees warmer though.
