Hey, Sophie. I'm surprised you didn't say anything about this. It snowed in Mar del Plata. Not too much but it made the news over here.

A classic Melbourne day yesterday and today. Overcast with drizzle. The average high temp this Poorgust is running about 0.5C BELOW average, at 15.3C (avg 15.7), unlike Sydney, where the MTD is 20.8C (avg 18.7C - 2.1 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE) and Perffffffffffffff with MTD 20.4C (avg 18.8C)

THERE IS NO ****ING JUSTICE

Come summer, I can only hope this will be a case of "what goes around, comes around"... i.e. Sydney gets crappy cloudy gloom wirh no storms while we get the heat and storms. Lets hope so.

Had the first air frost of August yesterday, but otherwise, the cloudy, mild conditions prevail. Almost no snow on the hills.

A few photos from yesterday showing late winter conditions in town and two showing the lack of snow on the mountains. There is only a little bit of snow on the very tops at 1900 m/6500 ft. At this time of year there's usually snow on the top 1/4 of the mountains.

-1C to 14C yesterday, with a quick change to heavy rain mid afternoon.

^ Nelson would have to be the prettiest town in the country IMO. That cathedral is really picturesque.

More garbage weather today. The sky looks like a sheet of printer paper.
