Nice pictures. I was hoping to visit Belgium when I was over there, but didn't get the chance to. Next time I suppose.
Haven't had a chance to take pictures. No use doing of my yard, because it is still a mess from the hurricane. Most of it was cleaned up, but there's one part that's still a major eye sore. Even the tree shots are no longer nice since half of them snapped or fell over.
Snapped these pictures last night, about 110km (70 miles) east of Calgary, AB, Canada. I was heading back to Vancouver from Saskatoon and took a connecting flight in Calgary, and this is the sight I got as we descended. Our flight was delayed by nearly an hour due to high winds in Calgary causing high traffic (we stayed grounded on the tarmac in Saskatoon for about 50 minutes), but by the time we got there it didn't seem too bad, it was a relatively smooth landing.
I took photos a bit over a week ago after all the heavy rains. Here's some local flooding:
The area is either nature preserve or farm fields in a floodplain, floods aren't unheard of. So no real damage. There's a residential neighborhood maybe 30 feet in elevation above the flooded area. Some flowers in front of the houses:
A semi-detached house (note two house numbers on the front), probably a little over 100 years old.
Approach of thunderstorms today. I love Cumulonimbus clouds.
