It isn't. Would you rather have to spend 30 mins putting on enough layers that your hands didn't fall off, then shovelling snow out of the way of your front door so you could actually get outside each day?

1) It will not take me 30 minutes to put a simple jumper and a jacket on.
2) Karlsruhe isn't that cold.
3) It wouldn't snow to the point where you have to shovel the snow out of your doorway to get out.
4) I like interesting weather so that means snow, blizzards, thunderstorms and everything inbetween.

Lastly stop it with the AGENDA.

I think some need a little vacation to northern canada, so they can see what it is really like.

Do you think it's like this here? No, no, a cardigan, winter jacket, gloves and beanie don't take half an hour to put on. Snowfall is usually light, so only a couple of cm accumulates regularly. And often melt away. Average snow cover here is around 20 cm, peaking at 30 cm at some point.

What agenda? You mean posting actual averages that go against everyones stereotypes of the climate here? Please provide at least one example. You always accuse me of lying, when I have never done such a thing (I don't think our climate is subtropical, like you always say I do).

I never said that's what Karlsruhe is like. That's what would happen if we didn't have a warm current near us. The global mean temperature for 51N is about 4C, ours is 11-12C.

Is London really the absolute warmest city in the UK?

Central London has the same annual mean as Portsmouth and the Scilly Isles, but London has the warmest highs.

Or would you rather spend summer wishing you lived somewhere warmer and sunnier, as that BBQ you had planned was rained off?

It rains more in Karlsruhe than it does in London.

I've posted my ideal climate here many times before, but I've never had to call off a BBQ due to rain here. Don't know why it always features on adverts about the 'British summer' as it doesn't rain much anyway (and when it does, it's not for very long).

Every time I've ever been through Birmingham or Manchester, it has rained though.

Hehe... Meh it's alright down here, and if it rains get a gazebo (or however you spell it!)
Anyway if it does rain, continue with the BBQ anyways... Cus we're British! We don't let a spot of rain stop us!
