I'm going with Toronto on this one.
Maybe I'm a little biased but I kinda like having four seasons.
Toronto gives me that without being too cold or too hot (too extreme).
Hobart has an OK climate too, alittle ho-hum for me, only going from about 11c in winter to 21c in summer, only a 10c annual range I find a bit boring.
In a typical year, Toronto has something for everyone.
Cold days for cold lovers, thankfully only about maybe 3 or 4 days that are really really cold,
Most winters are a cake walk for me, I've lived in much colder places.
Enough heat in summer for most heat lovers, well maybe not for ColdCanadian
though there are usually a few scorching hot days even he'd enjoy.
IMO most summer days are just about perfect for most outdoor activities.
Interesting poll. I really hate Hobart's summers (average temps 11/22C .. what the hell is that)???? but their winters are much better than Toronto. However, Hobart gets next to no thunderstorms, unlike Toronto which gets a few and has much more heat and humidity in summer.
I think I might pick Toronto.... more interesting. Hobart is one of those mind numbingly boring maritime climates where summer often will feel as cold as their winter. Warm clothing is almost essential on most summer nights plus factor in the wind and it might as well be winter. I think I'll prefer to live with a few months of snow in return for storms and proper summer warmth.
Dig a bit deeper, and there's often a cold lover, lurking in the shadows.

Without retyping the same thing....I would say Toronto for the same reasons I guess.
I'm no fan of the cold winters in Toronto that's for sure, but the have a at least two to three months of a real summer weather with mean temps near/above 70 F/21 C. Add in the thunderstorms and some wild summer weather and it would be an intersting summer climate.
In the case of Hobart, the absolute "peak" of summer never even cracks 63 F - lol. So essentially Hobart has no summer. Winters in Hobart, while much warmer than Toronto, are not warm enough to really enjoy time outside anyway.
i picked toronto, and by the way Toronto is MUCH colder than you guys think, the statistics shown for Toronto is only downtown, but where i live in Toronto is 3 degrees cooler , cause i live 20km away from ontario lake
Four distinct seasons make me physically sick. Because of their great seasonal change, I can't be accustomed to a new season.
So I choose Hobart for steady temperatures with a slight lukewarm summer touch and milder winters.
Can't stand cities being 30C in summer and -20 in winter. Just no. Too bipolar...
