It doesn't. As was mentioned by B87, the stats for London are incorrect. Sun hours are around 1600 I believe.

Heathrow 1633 hours, Kew 1652 hours. Greenwich is obscured by a tree (I even posted a link to maps). It's been posted so many times, but as usual he just chooses to ignore it.

London, less boring, still very mild. Also, the amount of rain in London is perfect!

Greenwich is still in London, it's not like it's in Glasgow.

London, although it's kind of a toss-up. Both are extremely mild, and Bogota is the epitome of mildness so I'm tempted to pick that one but I'll take London for dryer conditions and overall agreeable temperatures for the year.

Yes, but the sunshine recorder is situated under a tree, so of course it will record less sun than the rest of London. It's warmer than Heathrow or Kew though.

I don't know what your point is, if they move the sunshine recorder slightly it would get over 1600 hrs like the rest of the area.

Tropical highland : i prefer it despite being cloudier. Bogota is like Puncak, Bogor in West Java Highlands, similar sun hours but 2-3x wetter. Because of the latitude, London has chilly nearest SST year round even with the gulf stream. Bogota's nearest beach is lukewarm and swimmable even year-round. (near equator). I like cool/mild daytime temp but warm nearest beaches to swim. Climates like Java highland or Sumatra highland in 700-2000m are A climates for me.
