I had high hopes for you, Rozenn. You couldn't find any months with a mean below freezing after the 80's? Wow. And you're right. The precipitation pattern sucks there as well. Who would like a lot of rain in May?
Should I give it an A? Winters and summers a tiny bit too warm. Ok, A-, as I've heard that it's sometimes good to suck up to moderators.

July 2006 was great in both western and central Europe. Warmest ever in London and Warsaw in the same time. Why can't we have a month like this nowadays?

Me.
And yes, our winters suck massively. If non-calendar months are allowed for bragging purposes, Dec 22, 1996 - Jan 22 1997 averaged -1.3°C/29.7°F. I tried to make a decently seasonal one, but there's only so much you can do with an oceanic climate.
Ok, here's one with the three winter months I mentioned in my previous post. There have been colder januaries than that, like 1963 and 1987, but 1985 had a nice cold snap. December 1879 data is from Paris-Montsouris but they didn't record sunshine back then. Probably not the most accurate temperature readings either. Well, the thread title says "cherrypick", doesn't it?
I didn't touch the other months, but there must have been much better ones over the century or so of data available.
Tutiempo.net provides history of temperatures and precipitation but no sunshine data or for example snowfall. Is there some place to get sunshine data (and possibly also things like snowfall) worldwide? What are y'all using here to get these?
Here's a warmer version, all data from Leeds Weather Centre. July 2006 was much warmer, but I would have to use Church Fenton then, and it would look odd as the average low in that month was lower than August 1995.
^^Looks like northern Spain (the averages, not the records).
