same here my friend - last laying snow here was in 2013 - so i'm praying this year will be the year like 2010 .

you must get similar stretches without snow too ,or do you get freak cold waves every year ?

I wish Met Office didn't use one place's averages for one Province. That really sucks. Not only for Istanbul. I mean for Every Province.

When Met Office started using a different weather station in Istanbul, there has been a bit change in averages.

Met Office has to use one place's averages for every Province including Istanbul. Istanbul is one Province, for example.

In Continental Parts of Turkey, climate in the same province can change much more than that with elevation difference.

What we need is "February 1929" in these regions

In February 1929,

Istanbul had a record low of -16.1℃

İzmit had a record low of -18℃ (where I live)

do you like it below 0c the whole time ? i remember some years ago when it was -2 in the DAY and the sidewalks were all slippery - came a cropper at least twice that day .

Yeah I want temperatures to stay below 0*C during winter

Since I don't have a car, I don't know much about these kinds of things but I think you could buy winter tyres? Don't they work?

never any need here for winter tyres - it's just the very low sun is blinding .

do you like sub zero outside of winter ?
