I'd say you can see snow on Ground for 3 days a year like we can see in İzmit (city center).
I don't count the days as snowy days if snow cannot be on Ground. They will be short snowfalls, which is gone in short time. Snow mixed with rain is common.
same here my friend - last laying snow here was in 2013 - so i'm praying this year will be the year like 2010 .
you must get similar stretches without snow too ,or do you get freak cold waves every year ?
atsizat - what about 2c and sunny for example ? that to me is superb - only downside it the diffculty driving with the low sun in winter .
do you like it below 0c the whole time ? i remember some years ago when it was -2 in the DAY and the sidewalks were all slippery - came a cropper at least twice that day .

Since I don't have a car, I don't know much about these kinds of things but I think you could buy winter tyres? Don't they work?

never any need here for winter tyres - it's just the very low sun is blinding .
do you like sub zero outside of winter ?
