I like average temps between about 7C and 10C. The most important thing about winter, is it needs to have a decent diurnal range.

14 - 19 C is good. Something like LA, Brisbane, etc.

Being a cold weather person.... I prefer winters with highs around 5F (-15C) and lows near -20F (nr -30C)

Night time lows a few degrees below freezing and daytime highs averaging a few degrees above freezing with good precipitation. Some snow mixed in with some warm spells, and even some cold rain is ok. I voted for -1 to 2 C which my American brain had to convert to 30F-35F. LOL. I don't think I can ever learn to think directly in Celcius....even if I moved to a country that uses it as standard, I'd still be translating the numbers in my head.

Coldest temperatures I ever felt was around 15 F so for me so I haven't even experienced your preferred highs in my life.

I've got -20C to 40C Fahrenheit conversions in my head. And I know -30C, -40C, -50C, -60C, -70C, 50C, and 60C
