So, how would you rate the coldest inhabited place in Germany:


1981-2010

Here's another graph with data from the 1961-1990 period, which was, of course, colder:

For me it's between B and C.. The precipitation is great (maybe a bit too low), summers are only ~1°C too cold, but the winters are still way too warm so that there are too many periods of severe thaw.. But all in all it's certainly a pretty good climate and definetely the best in Germany.

D- I hate German climates but this is just a worse version of typical German weather.

D... but I'm actually surprised that it's really not ALL that cold. I thought there'd be German towns far higher up in the mountains that would face colder weather.

Excellent climate. Winters are cold but not extremely cold. Good temperatures for plenty of snow. Summers are pleasant and mild and cool off nicely at night. I can rate it no less than an A.
