Check it out..... Looks like another station right next to it... So lets check...

Waycross is the one on the left.

Here's the OBS for the station next to it on the right

They hit 80° DP as well but just touched it. So perhaps Waycross IS reading a bit too high but hitting 80 there is very likely after looking at this. Even 81 possible.

Yesterday this station hit 80 as well.

I don't doubt hitting 80, it's the consistency. The link ilovemycomputer90 posted showed weeks at a time hitting 80 daily which seems unheard of.

Last year one thing that our summer did have was more humidity. I wonder if this 84F dew point reading in Pontiac Illinois (about 75 milea southwest of Chicago) was the years highest nationally?

And with the rain that Central and Southern Illinois received the ladt couple of days, and with the impending heat coming later this week, I wonder if an 80 degree dew point will be reached?

Could make a couple runs at it but most likely just mid-upper 70s. Thursday best chance I think.

Heres NAM for Thursday evening. 75-80 around.

Temp 76 F/24 C, dewpoint 63 F/17 C...definitely a hint of mugginess in the air now.
