Where in eastern NC are you? Dewpoint is 75 in raleigh. As of 12:51 it's 93 with a dew point of 75 so a heat index of 105, dew point was 79 not too long ago.

Stupid heat here . I forgot how hot it can get

98F with a 74F DP Heat Index of 110F!!!

Where I live seems cool by comparison.

Station nearest to my house reporting 95.6 with a dew point of 84.2.

As of 1:51 it's 95 with a dewpoint of 74 at RDU. Storms are firing off already!

And I almost did it, thought it was more humid, but it was just hot. Did not I didn't feel that sweaty or stifling biking around 11:30. Dewpoint was 60°F, was 64°F at 8 am. Haze and clouds makes me think it's more humid than actual

Current Dews. I see storms already forming and dropping rain ahead of the storm and front. Flash Flood alerts going up here and there.


Muggy Tropical, Gulf of Mexico air around

Fronts always manage to slow and stall near the coast. This is why I'm expecting a lot of rain with this setup. But who will get the embedded strong ones remains to be seen

I'm expecting almost no rain from this setup. Interesting how much higher the dews are along the coast (Long Island, SE Connecticut, Rhode Island & SE MA) compared just a bit inland. NYC has some just below 60°F. I assume the dews will rise as the front approaches.

Our dews were in the mid 70s during early morning, then shot down to 60F for a really brief period around 11am, and now they're mid 70s again:
