Think of the novelty factor. May not happen again for 10 years!

Though in Buxton it is thoroughly unimpressive. "Only" 26°C was reached, cooler than June 27th 2011.

I'm surprised it has gotten this hot given how cloudy it was, but the temperature just skyrocketed and the dew point has gone up with it. I've never experienced conditions like this before - feels tropical outside.

Currently 79 degrees with a dew point of 49. Does not feel like August at all. But this is the 10th consecutive day that the temperature has failed to get to 80. Ugh.

So dewpoints are 67°F here but I'm not minding this time. Air temp is 67°.

So I guess I can tolerate high dewpoints if the temps are below 68. Yes, it is drizzling.

Then again maybe the breeze, clouds and rain are helping. If the sun was out I might have a different expression

Finally more than couple hrs of dry air! Like heaven out there. NorthEast Dewpoints in the 40s & 50s are below normal for this time of year. HOURLY DEPARTURE FROM 1981-2010 AVG
