^Is that sure that these are now all inhabitated places listed on the list? There can be also some villages which are not included. I think it is better to list all administrative units (county, province) of those areas in Canada, Alaska, Russia, other areas covered with appropriate isothermes.
hard to think of any swedish locations that qualify for this. kiruna misses out in july.. riksgränsen (55 inhabitants) might qualify, but barley. högvålen in härjdalen should comfortably qualify - but again, no climate data. maybe 1000 people in sweden lives in climates with summers like that.
^^ Tromsø also misses out on 60F / 15.5C in July if 1981-2010 normals are used but does make it if 1961-90 are used (high 15.3C in July).
If it is for Jun -Aug, then Tromsø makes it on the list.
Hammerfest just below 15C so is included.
Vardø (pop. 2,119) should be on the list (high just 12C)
Looked it up and seems like Kilpisjärvi is the only location in Finland which misses out on 60F. Even the frost hollows of Kevo and Kittilä have average highs of 16.1C and 16.8C respectively. Kevo has a high of 18.6C in July, same as Fuxton.
Salla Värriötunturi qualifies, but it's a fjäll, and nobody lives there.
There is no way La Rinconada has 50,000 people... there is a problem with the total population of this site, no official data available and numbers greatly overstated by random internet users who provide estimations... months ago its population 'was' 30,000, which was already an exaggeration. Looking at the settlement on Google Earth it can be easily verified.
The average summer temperature is 14.1°C in summer, with June coming in with an average high of 16.8°C, so just barely above the 60°F threshold. July and August's maxima are in the mid 60's, at 19°C and 18.5°C respectively. But, that's to be expected at 340 meters and 53.5° latitude.
To get summer average highs consistently below 60°F in the UK, look towards the Shetland Islands off northern Scotland.
