Yeah, but that's already the case at LaGuardia and JFK. I don't have a problem with a weather station being on the water, but it's just that there's three coastal stations now, plus the heavily wooded Central Park station.

I'm still interested in seeing how it performs compared to the other stations, especially since it isn't as removed from "urban NYC" as the other stations, but then again that probably won't matter since it's literally in the East River.

how does one get forecasts and observations for this station? I typed it in the weather.gov search box and got a marine forecast:

Marine Point Forecast for Latitude 40.69°N and Longitude 74.02°W

I tried the same thing earlier to no avail, it's odd. According to wunderground it went live in July, I didn't know about it until today.
