Speaking of power issues, I haven't heard much about the power grid in the U.S. There's going to be a lot of people with their heat on down to the Gulf coast. I wonder how the grid will hold up.
The warm-up we're experiencing here in the Eastern US is annoying and interesting at the same time. Roller coaster. The plunge tomorrow will be something. Roughly 40 F/4 C to 0 F/-18 C.
Currently 30 F/-1 C with fog. Light glaze of ice outside. Ice Storm Warnings in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Looks like a warm-up is coming this weekend. January thaw...hopefully a weak one.

* HAZARD TYPES...FREEZING RAIN.
* ACCUMULATIONS....WIDESPREAD ONE-QUARTER TO ONE-HALF OF AN INCH.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I was back home for winter break and was either working, with family or friends the entire time so I didn't get much time to post here. But I'm back in Tallahassee now and very cold weather (by our standards) is on its way, Tuesday is supposed to have a high of 35, and a low of 18

You are insane for leaving Ft. Lauderdale this week
You're supposed to be in record-breaking territory tomorrow though, highs around 0 F predicted.
It will take forever to de-ice my plane at the airport
