Pittsburgh has 34.7", compared to normal 18.8" (to-date), a DPT of 15.9". All in frequent, small, pesky doses as the snow cover at KPIT has yet to reach 5", although we did perform well this morning with a low of 4 below F (better than Chi-town!)
The 13.5" of snow that fell at PHL yesterday was the 3rd highest 1 day total on record for the month of January. That dates back to 1884! Philly has been in the spot light since early December. 33 inches in the last 6 weeks.
Islip had its 4th largest January total.
LaGuardia 7th biggest. JFK 8th biggest. NYC tied for 6th biggest. Newark tied for 5th biggest.
Man, I'm so jealous of places to the north of me, anybody want to swap places? The weather here in Tally isn't too bad (45 F and sunny right now) supposed to be 24 F tonight.

Had to walk like an overweight or disabled person across the snowy field to grab a shovel and clear the driveway from 13" of snow with knee deep drifts. 17 F & sunny now, going down to 4 F. Here is an image of the snow. Enjoy :
That sounds great, I can handle that type of cold with ease and I love doing physical activity. Friday looks to be cold by our standards, and the forecasts keep trending colder as well (right now the forecast is a high of 40 F, and a low of 20 F).

50 F with sun in Mid January=Tank top weather for most Chic's at my university (I am dead serious). That's 14 F above the average high.
And if this cold is not enough, I saw a Vikings fan with Shorts on .

When looking at the orange lines think of a tube, then think of winds flowing from West to East following within the tube(lines). That cold air from Canada and Upper mid west is funneling right to the coast. Arctic front sagged way south.
Surface map forecast. One front already dove down south and is now stationary over Mexico and Cuba... another stronger cold front pushing way down. Check out where its going.
