Do you get snow most of the time it gets below freezing?!

What you mean?

Yeah well kind of, most of my cold at freezing comes from Polar Maritime air masses which are very unstable. It hasn't been cold here but so far i've seen 12 days of falling snow and will probably see another 10 at least before the seasons out so I suppose so.

Like most of the time you get a cold spell below freezing it results in snow, at least rather quickly. From your posts on another thread, you said that to get snow you need atmospheric temperature below a certain level but you didn't mention any requirements of an actual storm / moisture, implying that's a given to you that cold = snow.

It's packed down. Maybe 8 inches away from buildings, could be a bit less.

Well it is kinda like that here to be honest. It is kind of a given that we get snow in cold airmasses as the air comes over the atlantic so it is unstable. Obviously then there will be showers.

Easterly cold does not equal snow here because it is dry and stable but thats not where most of my cold comes from. It comes from Arctic/Polar martime North Westerlies.

Severe Thunderstorm watch issued For most of Central and South Florida until 11pm. I just hope the squall line doesn't collapse as it move over the everglades as is so common.
