Yeah, hate that were going to have a mild start to December like last year but can see it getting colder around the 7th. Now explain to your family that you're delaying the trip because you don't want to miss a cold snap

Certainly record low temp for Montreal this saturday, -10C max -17C low, crazy end of fall ....
Cannot wait to go to South Florida for Christmas, I hope it will be hot there during the end of december.

No change to GFS 12z -- extended range (10-days). Western half of US very cold.

Normally I would say if it's hot or cold in the west, just wait, and that pattern will eventually progress eastward. However in your case, being so far south, you may not feel the effects of any Arctic intrusion... At least not in a very prolonged or significant manner.

As for my location... In the words of Bastardi "this could be a December to remember!"

But if it affects the Gulf coast of TX at my latitude why wouldn't it affect me? Seems strange, I'm at the same latitude as Houston...
