I wonder how cold it is the interior of Oregon like in Bend, or Seneca?
-6F is the record low for Eugene on 7th December, 1972 (and -12F is all time record low set on 8th December, 1972 where the high temp was 10F ). The next hourly observations are almost here so it'll be interesting to see if the temp dropped 7F again or if it's dropping more slowly now or holding steady.

The interior of Oregon is cold too. Meacham was -20F at 9PM.

I'm so jealous of Eugene. There's no snow cover here so the temperature is way higher. It's 21F at my house. It didn't get above freezing the past two days though, my highs were 28 today and 32 the day before.

While it's currently snowy and below freezing like it should, next week will bring temperatures bordering record highs, 8°C is forecasted for Friday. December is shaping up to be the eighth consecutive warmer than average month. Unbelievable.

Yeah, good stuff just be carefull with reading their snow total maps. His coding adds ice in there and doesn't including melting or a few other algorithms so it looks inflated a lot.

Did you see the Euro Hour 228 December 17th? GFS was showing a storm in this time frame. Now Euro on it. Watch to see if it continues to show it. Don't look at details, just see if storm is being shown. Next week we start looking at details like temps and precip if its still be shown.

We're supposed to get an inch of snow here today, which is great since it's a Sunday. Fits my schedule perfectly. Add to that that the Eagles play at home today, so there might be some snow for the game. I can't remember the last time it snowed during an Eagles game at home. It'd be nice if it only snowed on weekends, though, so as not to mess up my week because I have so much going on for the rest of this month.

ECWMF control in day 11-15 would send massive cold wave into US, but this one would be centered over Midwest/Great Lakes instead of Northern Plains. Could this be another December 1983 in the making when temps dropped to -32C in Christmas Eve and wind chills of -62C (old formula)? All we need is some snow on the ground, and I think we are getting a little today.
