Mobile, Alabama - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I pick Mobile because its overall cooler and more interesting with a better chance of snow.

Mobile is an easy winner. Nice winters. Hot in summer, but preferable to Phoenix's dry nightmare.

I'll pick Yuma for being warmer, drier and sunnier. Although I will admit Yuma's summers are too hot for me.

I don't like either.

Mobile is more livable of the two by far

Yuma is certainly not ideal for me... as I said summers are too hot but I would rather deal with that than have to deal with hurricanes and cold snaps in winter. I like the dryness and sunshine in Yuma. I would just need to adopt a mostly nocturnal lifestyle in summer with A/C and I'd be fine there.

Very hard choice. I think I'll go with Yuma. Winter in Yuma is much nicer than Mobile -- warmer, sunnier and far more consistent day-to-day (although Mobile is mild on average). Summer in Mobile is probably almost as bad as Yuma when you factor in the humidity -- 33 C with 22 C dew points would feel almost as bad as Yuma's dry 42 C. Plus Yuma is sunnier with a lesser risk of hurricanes.

Tough choice indeed. I may prefer Yuma on this one. I've never experienced dry heat but I know I couldn't take 33°C highs with high humidity for months on end. It was a humid 27°C here a while ago and it was unbearable. With dry heat at least sweating works.

Mobile is far superior. Nothing interesting about living in a desert. And I prefer the thunderstorms and humidity of Mobile.
