Right around average (83.2°F/28.4°C) as long as there aren't any stray heat waves that show up after this week. This is quite a change compared to last summer and the summers I've dealt with in Mississippi. If this summer turns out to lack any extreme heat waves, then I can finally say that I've experienced a decent summer

I haven't kept up with the Northeast, but last time I checked the area was getting pounded with lots of rain. I presume the high low is because of cloud cover and humidity?

June was a very wet month, but July hasn't been despite all the humidity. Though now that I look at this month's rainfall, we are running above average for the first half of the month.

There hasn't been extreme heat here either. This week we'll have a heatwave though. The humidity I think is the story of this summer.

Interesting. We're running at record breaking (mean not max), though not quite a fair comparison since it's only half a month. Usually we're similar. What your monthly average to date?

Oh, I was referring to the highs since the thread is about July avg. high. The high is par for the month here so far (84 F), but it's going to rise this week. Unless we get more heatwaves after this one, I think the high will still be close to average. Next weekend I see highs back down to average. Edit: Though now that I look at the forecast, it's going to be hot through Saturday. Might be hard to recover back down to average.

Mean min is 68 F...running 9 F above average. Mean month temp is 76 F...4.5 F above average.

It is looking like our average max for July will be about 22°C, so about 3.1°C above average. First time it will have been above average since 2006! That month had an average high of a whopping 23.6°C so we are not in that league.

So far the high at Castlederg is 22.1c so my prediction of 23c is looking good.

26C here so far this month which is 3.5C above average. Not bad really, hopefully it will get warmer!

From the 7th until now, the average has been 28.5C. Only 2 days have been below 27C, and they were 26 and 23C respectively. It's been a fantastic fortnight so far.

Heathrow currently at 26.8C, might get to 27.0C by the end of the month which would make it the 3rd warmest July at the site.

5 warmest Julys at Heathrow (since 1948).

1. 2006 - 28.2C
2. 1983 - 27.7C
3. 1976 - 26.6C
4. 1995 - 26.3C
