Summer here is about like winter, except that is cloudier at the coast, other than that it generally the same perfect 73˚F that it might be in January. Works for me. I loathe hot and sticky places for summer.

Yes. It's humid and miserable on the east coast. I wish it was October all the time.

No I don't hate it, but it does drag on just a little bit long.
Living in a temperate climate is ok, although this is borderline subtropical, but nights stay around 18C just inland - which is tolerable.
I very much enjoy going down to the beach at Nobbys, and even having an ice cream cone, and even going for a ride with the carny folk when the beachside fair is on - from Xmas up until Australia Day (26th January).
We have sunnier January's with less rain than Sydney, even though it is only 160K;s north, which guarantees good beach weather.

Tennis all year round outside there, must be nice!

July is my favorite month of the year (although this year, FAR too much rain in the first half and too humid since).

I would like summer to be longer and less humid (I'm in Detroit, continental Dfa climate)

Not this one...well unless a tornado or hail storm drops on my house or farm.

We haven't had unbearable high humidity or temps this year (first summer in a long time that I didn't wish we had A/C).

Yes, I hate summer where I live. It is very very hot, and very little rain. Seemingly endless days of near 100F or close to it, with heat indexes over 103.

Nights offer no relief. Shade offers little relief when it is humid. Plenty of nighttime "lows" still in the 80s or higher.

I have been in places where it was very hot in summer but there were daily afternoon showers and that made it tolerable. I've also been in places where summer was hot in the extreme but it only lasted the usual three months.

My issue with summers here is that they aren't normal "summer" length. Instead, the miserable heat can last as long as SIX months.

Better than miserable cold SIX months. At least night can be bearable.
