Latest update from GFS18z.

2meter temps for Wednesday afternoon(hour96). 80s should stay Baltimore southward but pockets might be found northward
Either way, normals are lower so many of us will be above normal and feel the warmth.

And yeah, those are lunchtime 30s & 40s & 50s for the NorthWest.

So what do strong High pressures do in the Fall time? High pressures = no clouds most of the time.

Allows for the sun during the day to warm things up but then no clouds after sun goes down allows heat to escape the surface and cool down. (heat rises)

I call this Solar Warming and Radiational cooling. The entire area pretty much had a 10-15 degree drop in a couple hours after sundown.

Here's a tweet from Upton:
"Westhampton Beach working its radiational cooling magic... dropped from 67 to 53 in two hours!"

So here's how Danbury and Windsor Locks OBS looked. Pretty much 70s to 50s in 3-4hrs.

All models agree on a storm next weekend for the Midwest Great Lakes area. (Rain & wind)

Thursday to Saturday time frame for now.

I wouldn't doubt if we see some snow out of this system somewhere. Either higher elevations or northern Minnesota, Michigan or southern Ontario.

Massive increase in Siberian snow cover.

Looks to be above average. I think if this continues to build like this it might get extremely cold over siberia, it is very cold there right now for this time of the year.
