Billings, MT was all Rain around lunchtime, then all snow by 3pm. Temp drop during the day and Wind chill in the 20s all day. Windy too! Man that is awesome. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/get...L&num=72&raw=0

Looks like the next 10 days will be rather unsettled in Northern Europe, but mostly dry. I don't see the temps being well above average for prolonged periods as suggested earlier, but mostly withing normal range. Temps up to 17C may occur in Southern Sweden at times, but otherwise I think it's gonna be 13-14C mixed in with some 10C days. The coldest area will be in Western Norway, with high temps in single figures. Night frosts will be out of the question in lower elevations in both Scandinavia and the Baltic States.

Biggest October snowstorm on record for Rapid City was 7.3" on October 22, 1995. SOMETHING TELLS ME THEY MIGHT GET A LITTLE MORE THAN THAT

Howling winds on the fall storm's cold backside are evident in this snapshot of potential gusts off the RPM model verifying at 11:30 PM Friday night. Note the predicted 60+ mph gusts in and near Rapid City, SD!



Euro model also dumping 2ft+ in South Dakota!



All that snow will keep temps down for a many days before it can all melt
