I was used to seeing this 200 miles to my East many times recently.. Euro12z goes Boom over the Great Lakes. 973mb low Monday. Surge of warm air into the East because of it. Up to 2 feet of snow for around James Bay and a foot for UP Michigan. Too far north for anyone else to benefit from big snows.

This is not a forecast but other models do show a very strong storm heading that way Monday.

This storm will be the reason for the arctic air to come swinging around to the East as well. And make a mental note... the High pressure in the Atlantic is shifting closer to America/Greenland. (Blocking)

Those high 80s and low 90s temps in Los Angeles County today, are those the result of Santa Ana winds? from Temecula to Riverside to Glendale, it's 87 to 91 degrees currently. High 60s near the coast, and 70s north of the San Gabriel Mountains

Supposed to be warm and muggy here this weekend (highs in the mid-upper 70s) but I'm not even mad about it, thunderstorms are supposed to come along with it, and it's supposed to get much cooler next week, so it's all good

Oh ok, it was kind of a big thing a few months ago...... since this is the fall thread I'm going to say something weather related. I don't really mind the warmer weather (MID 70s!!!!) for a brief period of time either, especially since there was an early hard freeze and there could be some severe weather on Sunday.
