It's too early for snow imo, it isn't even Thanksgiving yet. Nor is it winter.

I hope we get nothing, not even rain lol, so this can be the driest fall on record.

Quick Thanksgiving Storm Update:

First, take a look at the differences between the NAM and GFS now. Euro is middle ground which is more believeable at this point.

A Close-up of the snow depth from the GFS12z update by Thanksgiving 10am. It was Colder, Slower with the southern system and suppressed then OTS.

Someone is going to get snow from this whole thing. We'll know better by 7pm Sunday

Here, which one do you believe? lol.

NAM is only a mid range model so it's starting to get into the storm time frame for this area (by tomorrow night it will).

Conservative would say the in between of them all, right?

Euro and Canadian would be a warm rain for the coast and snow for only great lakes, Western NY and Northern NY.
GFS would be snows for Mid Atlantic

Temp and timing are different with each model but that's the general precip type idea from them.

Sometimes you have to look west to see what weather is coming...

This was the 2pmEST temps & Radar. Lake Effect Snows and Cold Clouds seen on Satellite and widespread teens. Texas has stayed in the 30s during the day 3 days straight!

2 days in a row the daytime temps in many areas of Texas has stayed in the 30s. Here's Lubbock and Dallas this mth.

In regards to the arctic high pressure that was over the Dakotas this Saturday....

Appears the pressure topped off at 1050.2 mb in Fargo, ND this morning. That would break the previous Nov. record!

It's almost pointless showing this now because so many areas are getting scattered snow. Anyone have photos from Texas?

Here's Northern Indiana moments ago.

"Visibility has dropped to a quarter mile here at the office with snow covering SR 13 all in the last 3 minutes! Be careful in these lake effect snow squalls tonight. Quick accumulation and limited visibility will both be issues to contend with."

How about this one in Ohio... Classic... Snow and Football!

"Gotta love D-III college football in Ohio, in November, in the snow. The way it should be... Mount Union vs. W&J"

11-15 still way below normal

Also, 500mb contour indicates lots of high latitude blocking and low pressure at the mid latitudes. Stormy?
