I haven't been to Florida since I was 6. I wonder what I'd think of Florida heat and humidity.

You'd probably love it. It wasn't as uncomfortable as Norfolk VA though. That was horrendous.

I don't see any reason to go, though I would like to experience the [deep] subtropics at some point.

Meh. Checking Orlando's forecast, it looks like one of the hotter, most humid days of the year, again. And again. Won't hate, but sounds annoying.

Honestly, no. It doesn't always get the best press. Some people do love it, but haven't heard mentioned "OMG, I want to Florida". Other than DisneyWorld and a "let's feel some summer in the wintertime" trip.

Been there in August, December, and February in different years. Let's just say I will never ever step foot in that state in the summer. Northeast gets similar temps/humidity so if you want to know if you would like it just imagine everyday like it will be tomm here.

That's why people in the south have "summer" homes up north. They need to get away from that.

And is it me or does the UK rarely have dewpoints above 65? Or at least rarely have similar dewpoints as us.

Yes, but I think they got to 70°F+ briefly this summer. Here's London this July, which was warmer than average:

Weather History for London, United Kingdom | Weather Underground

55°F average dew point, maxed out at 68°F
