Well seeing as my right ankle has a bruise on it currently, and I can't shut the heck up to save my life, I'd take the car. Give me an Acura RLX. With a sorority girl driving it. LOL. I'll take any car with a good heater driven by someone decent over walking 2 miles in this scenario.
The kindest person you know is driving your dream car, and you can ride with them to get home.
I'd walk. I don't see the point in being a passenger in my "dream car"; the point of a car is driving it, no?
Two miles walking in pleasant weather would be...pleasant and would take less than 60 minutes.
In order to drive 2 miles in -50F temperatures, you'd need to enter and exit the vehicle, plus the car would be painfully cold upon entry, both are a no go for me. I wouldn't even be near a window in temperatures that cold, let alone outside and in a car.
while I normally would take 60f over -50f the fact that i'm only in -50f weather for 3 secs while I would have to put up with the cold 60f weather for atleast 20mins. I'll take the 3secs of hell over 20mins of suffering, plus I get to ride in a car instead of walking
Option #1. At -50F there will be snow on the ground and possibly ice fog, and if it's windy there might even be some snow blowing across the scenic route. If I'm in the sort of winter gear that -50F required then I wouldn't want a ton of heat in the car - perhaps enough to warm it up to above zero .
