Where would you rather live the UK which gets much cool overcast weather, but no real super cold weather.....or a Boreal climate with severe sub 0 F temps, but a sunny winter weather now and then?

UK. At least they get pleasant 'summers'.

Southern UK has at least some summer warmth and sun albeit not warm enough for my idea of "summer". However, occasional hot days meet my criteria for an "average summer day" though.
London's average summer daytime highs are about on par with continental type-subarctic climates and the average lows are a bit warmer.
The winters are damp and chilly garbage but not as lethal like in places like Yellowknife.
London > Yellowknife.

Give up wavehunter. Notice how he never adds a poll to these ridiculous questions, as he couldn't stand to see London/UK win something.

Frigid clear weather is much less depressing in the long term than overcast drizzle. I get a fair share of both. The latter is refreshing after a summer heat wave but when it lasts for thee months it starts affecting people.

I'd live in the United Kingdom obviously, which shouldn't even stay in a "misery index" contest in my opinion thanks to its mildness.
