200 inches of snow would most likely cause your house to collapse.......that much snow weighs an awful lot.

If it's 200 inches a year and some of it melts/sublimates or you can shovel it off throughout the winter it might be manageable. There are inhabited places that get that much snow or even more, notably Sapporo but also Houghton, MI and mots of coastal Labrador.

A severe snowstorm complete with subzero (F) temps and strong winds, so it will scare everyone.

Not really worried about natural disasters. You could live on top of a major fault line for 10 years, a hurricane alley beach for another 1, tornado alley for another 10, and a blizzard prone place that gets 1,000 inches of snow a year for another 10, and your chances of being killed or injured in a car accident are FAR greater than being hurt or killed or even losing a house in a natural disaster. Yet, you still get in your car and drive everyday.

Natural disaster is way of life and we all have to deal with them . And let's just throw severe thunderstorms in there also.

And even if your house didn't collapse, you'd probably be trapped inside it for sometime with no power or utilities.

Snowstorms are far easier to deal with especially where we live...

However, in my area we can handle a snowstorm that drops major amounts of snow because we are used to winters that can be potentially bad, but imagine if lets say Atlanta, Georgia or Dallas, Texas got hit with a major snowstorm? They'd be paralyzed by it...
