In Richmond there's relieve from the cold in the form of stupidly warm muggy days while London doesn't get that.
London's average temperature in winter is a lot higher than Richmond's which means it has to be warmer for the majority of the time compared to Richmond. So "London's coolness during the winter is more constant" is obviously a false statement.

Somewhere with average lows some way below freezing and with not much difference in daytime highs is more wintry than London.

Um no...

I said MEANS not HIGHS.

MEAN temperature... i.e the AVERAGE temperature of the month. With its below freezing lows and lower means, Richmond is consistently cooler for much longer than London and the highs aren't much better. Geez Louise. :rolleyes :

You said it would feel more wintry than Richmond, and the fact is that it doesn't. When that part of the world gets it's -10°C cold snaps and foot of snow keep reminding yourself of how subtropical if feels compared to London.

You keep going on about "it would be" etc, having never experienced it. Without the experience, your opinion is less credible than mine. Don't cry luv! It's not the end of the world.
You were belittling Infamous so I was warning you not to do the same with me.
