Blackmount has a very continental climate. Winters are harsh with cold temperatures and blizzards at least once a month. Temperatures can reach down to -40°F on the very coldest winter nights. Summers are very hot and dry, with temperatures frequently hitting 104°F. Köppen climate classification is Dsa, or a hot-summer humid continental climate with a Mediterranean precipitation pattern. Sunshine is 2,600 hours annually C+ for me. Winters are awesome, and snowfall is great (but could be higher). But summers are too hot for my tastes. 20 degree cooler summers could get an A.

C- because the winters are too cold for me. If the winters were 20 degrees warmer and the summers were 10 degrees cooler it would get an A from me. I like that it gets more rain in summer than most real Mediterranean climates. I also like the snow in winter but would prefer it at temperatures just below freezing rather than way below freezing.

B+++. SO close to an A! July is just a bit warmer on average than I'd like to see in a summer, but the fact that summers are dry actually really does make up for it. I could live in such a climate yes oh yes! I bet area lakes would be great for swimming all summer through about mid September or so, and that said lakes would also make great skate rinks and areas for ice surfing / ice kiting. What latitude would this sit on (so as to have an idea of sunlight variances throughout the year).

The winters are too cold, the summers too warm, and it's way too dry, especially in summer.

C+ for me too. Winters are a bit too short and could be a bit snowier and colder as well, whereas summers are way too hot for me.
