I've booked my tickets to go to Florida for 9 days in early October. Will be staying in Orlando but will also be taking day trips to Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach, and the Evergrades.
What are my chances of experiencing the following events (none of which I've experienced before)?
a) An intense thunderstorm (with thunder and lightning happening at the same instant and not at a distance)
b) A dewpoint over 80 F
c) A hurricane
d) A named tropical storm
e) Experiencing a downpour of 2+ inches of rain in less than an hour
f) a tornado or waterspout
g) a sharknado
h) Being eaten by a gator
i) Having a great time at Orlando's theme parks (WDW and Universal with a possible visit to Discovery Cove as well)
j) Having a great time swimming in the warm waters of the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
k) Having so much fun sightseeing that I go back to Florida again in a few years.
I would like to hear from people who've lived in Florida.

I am hoping for at least one intense thunderstorm so I can finally experience one. I hope early October isn't too late in the season for that guarantee.
What's the point dragging this ancient thread out for such a meaningless response, when the op is no longer a member here?
