Hmmm I think during cold spells and in the Northwestern coast of Appalachia. I think precipitation will be much more uniform, so no dry winters and wet summers. Record lows and highs would be moderate, milder more moderate winter, cooler summers and more evenly distributed rainfall. I'm thinking Hurricanes will be more of a threat.

You might want to check some plate tectonics models to find out where the North American continent was situated during the Cretaceous!

The inland sea was a shallow body of water so I'm inclined to think that it won't be as moderating as I once thought.
