Which subtropical arid climate do you prefer?

Lima. The cloudiness would probably make it feel way better.

Lima's climate is depressing. The sunnier season isn't all that sunny either.

Yuck to both- Cairo is wayyyy to hot and both climates are way too dry. Prolly Lima for having more comfortable temperatures. I don't mind visiting hot climates but I wouldn't want to live in one.

Cairo by far. I'm actually more surprised that's it's not any hotter, given its desert location.
Lima is too gloomy year round - a waste of warmth!

Lima even when it's too gloomy. Cairo is too hot.

Lima. Overcast skies don't bother me at all, and the temperatures are great

It's like an A vs a C grade for me.

Interesting, maybe the two driest capitals in the world battling. I will go with Lima.

Cairo has more seasonal variation and a tiny bit more rainfall. Also, if it's not going to rain then it may as well be sunny, so Cairo it is.
